Corn Redux Finds its Malachai

Seems the upcoming Children of the Corn remake, which started rolling in Iowa this week, has found itself a Malachai in the form of Cirque du Freak actor Daniel Newman, according to STYD this morning.

Lindelof on Dark Tower Status

Ever since the news that the rights to make Stephen King’s ultimate horror/fantasy series The Dark Tower into films are in the hands of “Lost” producer Damon Lindelof came out, I’ve been sleeping better at night. Just knowing that it hasn’t gotten into the wrong hands, like Preacher did, is enough to make the wait worth it.

Corn Remake Rolling Soon

Looks like He Who Walks Behind the Rows is preparing to make a return to trip to Iowa’s Quad Cities. A reader threw us a heads-up that the Quad City Times has a new article up about the Children of the Corn remake that’s set to go in front of cameras next month.

Stephen King's Daily "N"

It used to be Stephen King was a pretty easy guy to keep up with; he released a new book every few years, we’d do a story on it and eventually a review, then sit back and wait for the next project. Nowadays, though, it seems like King’s got way too much to keep up with.

Joe Hill Updates on Box, Locke & More!

Author Joe Hill (Heart-Shaped Box) recently sat down with the folks at Fangoria to discuss some of the various horror projects his name is attached to, first and foremost his IDW comic Locke & Key, which they will be releasing a sequel to in the coming months.

First Look at Marvel's The Stand!

Personally I can’t wait to see how Marvel does with its upcoming adaptation of Stephen King’s seminal apocalypse novel The Stand. Just the excuse to read it again is enough for me. AICN managed to get its hands on the first art for the book, and needless to say I’m impressed. They promise to have more tomorrow so make sure you hit ‘em up again to see the rest!

6 Minutes of King's Talisman!

Why wait around for studios to get their collective acts together and adapt one of your favorite author's stories? Canadian filmmaker Mathieu Ratthe sure didn't.

King & Hil's Throttle Optioned

Now this is something I need to read; a novella penned by both Stephen King and son Joe Hill (Heart-Shaped Box) called “Throttle”. It’s about a motorcycle gang who’re chased through the desert by an 18-wheeler, something I think we can all relate to.

Slater Talks Dolan's Cadillac

As filming rolls on in Regina, Canada for Dolan’s Cadillac, the latest Stephen King short story to get the feature film treatment, the small town’s local press are getting some one-on-one time with one of the film's leads, Christian Slater.

Marvel Confirms The Stand Adaptation

Funny how you may not even be aware how much you’ve been waiting for something until it finally happens. Case in point, Marvel’s recently announced comic translation of Stephen King’s epic end-of-the-world novel, The Stand.

Filming Under Way on King's Dolan's Cadilac

Yet another King film adaptation is coming our way as the filming of Dolan's Cadillac has just begun in Regina and Moose Jaw, Canada.

Dolan's Cadillac Finally Ready to Roll?

Wow, talk about some casting changes; when the King short Dolan’s Cadillac was first announced to be adapted to film years and years ago, names like Sylvester Stallone and Kevin Bacon were attached to it. Now we’ve got to names like Christian Slater and Wes Bentley.

Exclusive Clip From The Mist!

Let’s say, for argument’s sake, that you’re a heathen. You didn’t see The Mist in theaters and have yet to buy it on DVD (which you can do here). You can start down the long road of redemption by checking out this exclusive clip from The Mist courtesy of Dimension Films!

Marvel to Adapt The Stand?

Last year’s New York Comic Con featured a great public appearance by Stephen King, a hero of mine since my younger days. I wrote all about the appearance after the show (read it here), and one of the coolest bits of news that came from it was that Marvel was discussing a comic adaptation of King’s seminal end-of-the world epic, The Stand.
