It looks like a pretty good week overall. Mixed in with some fears from the Forest of Death are a Band from Hell (always a fun time), "The Lost Collection" from Lionsgate, a Playboy anthology flick, and the pick of the week - Splinter!

Maybe you didn’t notice it, but I know we sure as hell did; Splinter was supposed to hit DVD on January 27th. It didn’t. Why the hell is that, do you ask? No idea, but Magnolia will now be releasing Toby Wilkins’ badass monster movie on April 14th.

For a limited run this weekend, horror fans in Ohio will get one more shot at seeing Toby Wilkins' monster opus Splinter up on the silver screen! If you happen to be in the Cleveland area, this may be something too good for you to pass up!

You may not remember, but one of the six awards Toby Wilkins’ Splinter took home from Screamfest LA was for Best Musical Score, and I have to concur; the music in this film is very, very cool. You don’t have to take my word for it, though, because now you can get the Splinter soundtrack for yourself!

How sad that the actual DVD art for Toby Wilkins’ Splinter isn’t that much better than the fake DVD art that was floating around a few weeks back? DVD Active got a look at the art thanks to a trade publication, so it’s most definitely legit.

Toby Wilkins' Splinter is an original horror movie with no big name stars and has garnered positive reviews, so, naturally, it only gets a very small limited release. Like many of you, I'm dying to see Splinter but it isn't playing anywhere near me and odds are it probably never will. Take heart, folks, it looks like we won't have to wait too long for a DVD release.

Toby Wilkins' Splinter looks like one menacing monster movie. But you know what could make it even better? Seeing it for free! Fangoria just announced that they will be hosting a free screening of Splinter, sponsored by Magnolia Pictures, at NYC's Two Boots Pioneer Theater on October 24 at 11 PM!

Toby Wilkins' indie film Splinter feels like it just exploded onto the scene recently. It's quite a nice surprise since it both looks cool and has promise: monsters, gas stations and two couples caught in-between this mess. Sweet deal!

While you patiently await Magnet’s October 31st release date for Toby Wilkin’s Splinter, I know you’re just itching to learn more about the movie and what went into making it. Know how I know? Cause the movie kicks ass and you like things that kick ass! Why else would you be here?
