The nominations are in for Spike TV's 2009 Video Game Awards, and Uncharted 2: Among Thieves leads the pack with a total of eight. But right behind are Batman: Arkham Asylum with seven, followed by Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 and Left 4 Dead 2 with six each. Where Was the New Twilight Saga: New Moon Footage at the Scream Awards?
Anyone who attended tonight's Scream Awards at the Greek Theatre in LA hoping to see Twilight co-stars Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart win in their respective categories or present new footage from New Moon left disappointed. But members of Team Jacob made out like bandits thanks to a win by Taylor Lautner for Best Male Break-out Performance and his return to the stage a short while later to accept for Twilight in the Best Fantasy Film category.

Spike's Scream 2008 Nominees Announced
How is it that we got a whopping one year out of the Fangoria Chainsaw Awards being a live event, but Spike TV’s Scream show keeps on trucking? I’m sure it comes down to a question of cash, but man it’d be nice to have a strictly horror-centric awards show again...

While the Sci-Fi Channel is currently the top network when it comes to premiering B-movie genre fluff, though the Hallmark Network, Ion, and even Lifetime have also been increasingly uncorking some horrific humdingers, Spike TV (AKA the Ultimate Fighting channel) is only starting to make waves in the original movie field.

Sid Haig, Bill Moseley, Sheri Moon Zombie, and Leslie Easterbrook received a group nomination in the vilest villian category.
