Scream 2010 Nominees Announced

Spike TV has released the nominees for its fifth annual Scream Awards, honoring the best in sci-fi, fantasy, comics, and horror. Taping on Saturday, October 16, at The Greek Theater in Los Angeles, CA, Scream 2010 celebrates the hottest films, TV shows, comics, actors, creators, icons, and pioneers who have influenced and shaped the industry. Look for the televised version on Spike TV on Tuesday, October 19, at 9:00 p.m. ET/PT.

Thieves, Zombies, and a Joker Dominate the 2009 VGAs

The nominations are in for Spike TV's 2009 Video Game Awards, and Uncharted 2: Among Thieves leads the pack with a total of eight. But right behind are Batman: Arkham Asylum with seven, followed by Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 and Left 4 Dead 2 with six each. Rounding out the nominees for "Game of the Year" is Assassin's Creed 2.

Scream '09: Red Carpet, Event and After-Party Coverage

Dread Central (in this case Heather Wixson, myself, and a moonlighting Brian Smith) hit the red carpet this past Saturday for the taping of the fourth annual Spike Scream Awards, held at the Greek Theatre in Los Angeles, and brought back a slew of photos and video interviews from the press line, as well as from the event itself and subsequent after-party (which was held at the Forever Hollywood Cemetery in, well, Hollywood).
