While chatting with filmmaker Chris Freeman yesterday, the writer, producer and co-director of the currently-in-production fright flick Sorority Party Massacre tipped us off to another one of his horror projects, the upcoming book So … I Survived The Zombie Apocalypse.

Co-written by Freeman and Upright Citizens Brigade comedian Korey Hunt, Freeman said of the 64-page graphic novel (which will be published this April through Slumber Vision Entertainment and Diamond Comics), “It’s Mean Girls meets Zombieland in a world where the females zombies ate all the men and want nothing to do with the last living female, who just wants to find a friend.

Freeman provided us with an exclusive peek at five (currently uncolored) pages from So … I Survived The Zombie Apocalypse (see them below) along with this update on Sorority Party Massacre, which stars Eve Mauro (The Steam Experiment), Ed O’Ross, C. Thomas Howell (The Hitcher), Leslie Easterbrook (The Devil’s Rejects), Richard Moll (House), Ron Jeremy, Yvette Yates, and Tom Downey, and which is shooting at altitude in Southern California, “The weather is just too crazy, and I think we’ll have a better shoot without the snow. But we’re forging ahead here in L.A. with some stage work and will soon be shooting some of the villain’s lair and the climax.”

Stay tuned to Dread for our eventual set visit.
