‘Silent Night’ Star Catalina Sandino Moreno On The Silent Resilience Of Her Character

In John Woo’s latest action film Silent Night, Joel Kinnaman goes on a killing spree in the name of sweet revenge. The twist? There’s not a word of dialogue through the entire runtime. While Kinnaman gets the most screentime, his co-star Catalina Sandino Moreno is his foil, a stoic mother in grief who tries to be the reasonable backbone of the family. But how does she accomplish that without dialogue?

We sat down with Moreno to discuss creating her character’s silent strength, working with John Woo, and more.
