Injustice 2 Gets a Villain Showcase Trailer; Spawn Likely to Appear and Robert Englund Possibly Voicing Scarecrow

DC Comics have given us some weird and wonderful villains over their 83 year history, several of whom are featured in the new Injustice 2 trailer. Some of the worst that DC has to offer will be playable, including Scarecrow, Captain Cold, Bane, and Gorilla Grodd.
The best part? According to IMDb, Robert Englund will voice Scarecrow in the game. Now, before you get too excited, keep in mind that IMDb has been known to be wrong in the past, and there don’t appear to be any other sources confirming England’s involvement thus far, but that sure as hell sounded like him at 1:02 the trailer. One has to wonder why NetherRealm didn’t also get him to voice Freddy Krueger for the character’s appearances in Mortal Kombat IX and X.
On the other hand, although he hasn’t been officially confirmed and he doesn’t belong to DC, director Ed Boon pretty much admitted in a series of tweets (see them here, here, and here) that Todd McFarlane’s Spawn will appear as a guest character, so our hype levels are reaching breaking point.
Also featuring Swamp Thing, Batman, Superman and Wonder Woman, Injustice 2 punches its way into stores on May 16.
