One of my favorite parts of last week's San Diego Comic-Con was getting to catch up with Night of the Demons director Adam Adam Gierasch and writer Jace Anderson to help unveil the movie's official artwork. The flick looks damned good, and the original has been a staple in the Creepy household forever so to say I'm excited for this movie is an understatement. Even more exciting? This brand new gore-filled still!

It seems like the Night of the Demons remake is taking its sweet ass time to come out, right? Well we've got an exciting look at the poster art for Adam Gierasch's redux, and I'm digging it.

Well then. This is kind of depressing. Instead of the theatrical run they had been talking about, E1 Entertainment announced today that Adam Gierasch's long awaited Night of the Demons remake will get a home video release on October 19th, 2010. At least we're getting a Blu-ray and the film won't be just sitting on the shelf for too much longer.

Dread caught up with director Adam Gierasch yesterday in an effort to ascertain the current plans for his feature Night of the Demons, a flick that initially was to have received a theatrical release last October via Seven Arts Distribution. Revealed the director, who co-wrote with Jace Anderson his remake of director Kevin Tenney’s 1988 feature of the same name, “Night of the Demons is aiming for a decently-wide release on September 23, 2010.” In addition, he provided us with some new exclusive production stills!

Though Adam Gierasch's redux of Night of the Demons (review here) has missed its originally proposed October release date, a new image of the sultry Shannon Elizabeth has surfaced in full non-demon Angela regalia to remind us of what we're missing!

I always said they’d need a very hot group of women if they were going to remake Kevin Tenney’s Night of the Demons, and it looks like director Adam Gierasch agrees with me!
