Paramount Set for Some Serial Killer Days

Alison EastwoodNever mind the eight crazy nights of Hanukkah, the twelve days of Christmas, and don’t even get us started on Tom Cruise’s glory days of thunder. Paramount is hoping that all will pale in comparison to the upcoming madness of the Serial Killer Days.

According to The Hollywood Reporter’s Heat Vision Blog filmmaker Mark Carter is looking to adapt the satirical 1996 David Prill novel, Serial Killer Days into a film for the studio that’s brought us lots and lots of horror over the years.

The story is set in a town that celebrates the annual arrival of a serial killer with a parade and a pageant. “I hope to deliver the expected genre conventions but do it in an idiosyncratic, richly layered and unexpected world,” says Carter. “There will also be lots of blood.
