Some Predictions for Dexter Season Five

Earlier this year during the San Diego Comic-Con, Showtime took a camera out into the masses of humanity that were present there to get some predictions of what "Dexter" has in store for its fans during the upcoming Season Five. Read on for the results!

New Saw 3D Image Offers Up a Close Shave

The opening footage from Saw 3D played again recently at London's Movie Con, and with a full report has come a new image. Well, more of a variation on an already seen image (probably taken from the teaser trailer), but since you guys have to be kept in the loop on everything .... Check out the image below courtesy of Bleeding Cool. Look for Saw 3D in theatres nationwide this October 29th.

30 Days of Night: Dark Days - Cast and Crew Interviews

While at this year's San Diego Comic-Con, we had a chance to sit down with the folks behind 30 Days of Night: Dark Days - producer J.R. Young, director Ben Katai, and stars Rhys Coiro, Kiele Sanchez, and Diora Baird - and by doing so, we dug up some interesting things about the sequel for you to sink your teeth into. Dig it!

Jessica Lowndes and Kaare Andrews Talk Altitude

One flick we've been looking forward to for a while now is Anchor Bay's release of the Kaare Andrews creature feature Altitude. If you have to ask why, you obviously haven't seen the trailer. That's okay, we have you covered there ... and then some!

Supernatural: Sera Gamble Talks Season Six; Comic-Con Interview Footage

Not a lot of genre-related info came out of the recent Television Critics Association's summer press tour, but new "Supernatural" showrunner Sera Gamble did drop a few choice tidbits about the series' upcoming sixth season that weren't discussed at Comic-Con. And speaking of Comic-Con (in what's hopefully one of the last times we'll mention the event), The CW has provided us with pretty cool video they compiled on "Supernatural" day.

The Vampire Diaries: Courtney Ford Joining in Possible Recurring Role; Comic-Con Interview Footage

Anyone who watched "Dexter" Season Four knows how memorable Courtney Ford can make the characters that she portrays so it should be interesting to see what she does with "Vanessa", a potentially recurring role she's landed on Season Two of "The Vampire Diaries".

San Diego Comic-Con 2010: Guillermo del Toro and Troy Nixey Talk Don't Be Afraid of the Dark; See the Trailer and More!

They say in Hollywood there are no sure bets. For this writer, I beg to differ because my sure bet is always writer/producer/director Guillermo del Toro. When I heard that del Toro would be attending the 2010 San Diego Comic-Con to promote the latest project he’s producing, the Troy Nixey-helmed Don’t Be Afraid of the Dark, I knew I had to be front and center to get the lowdown on this supernatural thriller.

Joss Whedon's "Dollhouse" series got a bit jerked around during its run on Fox TV, but its Season Two DVD/Blu-ray release is getting the royal treatment with fans who order from FoxConnect.com and use a special code getting free shipping, a 10% discount, and a copy of the limited edition San Diego Comic-Con lithograph.

San Diego Comic-Con 2010: The Sights, the Sounds, the Thank Yous

While we are still busy filtering through all of the news that came out of the 2010 San Diego Comic-Con, we figured that we would take a moment to let you guys know that our official photo gallery for the event has opened and we have put together a quick video montage from the big dance that is brimming with faces you should find very familiar.

San Diego Comic-Con 2010: Scott Stewart Talks Priest 3D

One project I was pretty stoked to hear about when it was announced in 2009 is the film adaptation of the graphic novel series Priest. Being a huge fan of the story, I had hoped that somehow the stars would align to bring audiences a faithful telling of Ivan Isaacs (Paul Bettany), a warrior Priest from the last Vampire War who now lives in obscurity among the other downtrodden human inhabitants in walled-in dystopian cities ruled by the Church that must fight back when his niece (Lily Collins) is abducted by a murderous pack of vampires.

Guillermo del Toro Talks Haunted Mansion Plot

One of the biggest thing to come out of this year's San Diego Comic-Con was no doubt Guillermo del Toro's surprise announcement that he would be remaking The Haunted Mansion based upon the popular Disney ride. Today a few more details have come to light! Dig it!

San Diego Comic-Con 2010: Producer Dan Tovar Talks Splatterhouse!

So I was able to get my greedy little paws on the upcoming Namco title Splatterhouse while at the San Diego Comic-Con. For this updated retelling of the original 1988 beat-em-up, side-scroller game, Splatterhouse has undergone a serious makeover, including Rick, who has gone from looking like Jason Voorhees from Friday the 13th to a cross-breed of Abomination and a Tank from Left 4 Dead.

San Diego Comic-Con 2010: Dead Space Aftermath Animated Feature & Dead Space Salvage Graphic Novel Announced

Now that we've slain the beast known as the San Diego Comic-Con, it's time to play a little bit of catch-up with a few stories that were announced over the past few days but haven't been reported here on Dread Central yet. Case in point - Two all-new products in the Dead Space™ franchise: animated feature Dead Space Aftermath and graphic novel Dead Space Salvage.

San Diego Comic-Con 2010: Darren Bousman's Mother's Day Footage Description!

Fans in attendance for the Repo! Shadowcast this past weekend during the after-hours portion of the San Diego Comic-Con got a real treat. Before the rock heavy shenanigans began, director Darren Bousman took to the mic and announced that as a means to thank the rabid fans who had shown up to the event, he had brought along a clip from his new film Mother's Day. The crowd went batshit nuts! So what did you miss?
