Isn't technology grand? We remember back when phones were ... well, phones. Now they're highly advanced pieces of tech that can bring you multimedia entertainment while on the go. We also hear that if you wrap them in tinfoil, they can be used to talk to aliens without having to worry about roaming charges. Neat, no?
After reading all the positive reviews of Joe Cornish's Attack the Block, we knew it was just a matter of time before its US distribution rights were snapped up, and today we know who has acquired them. Sony Pictures Worldwide Acquisitions bought the film, and its genre label, Screen Gems, will act as distributor.
You know what pisses us off? "The Jetsons". Yeah, that's right, the cartoon. They just lied to us, man. According to them by now we'd have cars that flew, automatic dog walkers, devices that would shower and then dress us. In reality what do we actually have? Nothing that cool, that's for sure. Well, at least the new Priest one-sheet is sporting some impressive tech.
