Spike TV has released the nominees for its fifth annual Scream Awards, honoring the best in sci-fi, fantasy, comics, and horror. Taping on Saturday, October 16, at The Greek Theater in Los Angeles, CA, Scream 2010 celebrates the hottest films, TV shows, comics, actors, creators, icons, and pioneers who have influenced and shaped the industry. Dread Central (in this case Heather Wixson, myself, and a moonlighting Brian Smith) hit the red carpet this past Saturday for the taping of the fourth annual Spike Scream Awards, held at the Greek Theatre in Los Angeles, and brought back a slew of photos and video interviews from the press line, as well as from the event itself and subsequent after-party (which was held at the Forever Hollywood Cemetery in, well, Hollywood).

Anyone who attended tonight's Scream Awards at the Greek Theatre in LA hoping to see Twilight co-stars Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart win in their respective categories or present new footage from New Moon left disappointed. But members of Team Jacob made out like bandits thanks to a win by Taylor Lautner for Best Male Break-out Performance and his return to the stage a short while later to accept for Twilight in the Best Fantasy Film category.
