There's no doubt Twitter has changed the way that we get our information. From watching and taking part in revolutions to showing off onset pics from films, real time feeds have captured the imagination of many. Sometimes even some horror news stories arise, but usually they're hard to flesh out because they amount to something that's just under 140 characters. Just a few days ago we let you guys know about Kevin Williamson's new Scream trilogy that's being readied. Today the master himself, Wes Craven, sheds some more light!

Reboot. Redux. Remake. Relax. It's all the same crap, isn't it? Entertainment Weekly got word tonight that a potential reboot of Wes Craven's Scream franchise is in the works.

All right, this is just weird but it’s one of those things that I feel like if we ignore, we’ll be the only ones not talking about it. A scooper dropped us a line today with intel that Kevin Williamson is on board to write not just one, but three new Scream films, rebooting the franchise with a whole new trilogy.

Last night Dread Central gathered with all the horror outlets for a preview screening of the Last House on the Left remake, which was also attended by producer Wes Craven and stars Monica Potter, Sarah Paxton, and Terminator badass Garret Dillahunt.

Showtime Networks and The Weinstein Company just announced a 7-year exclusive deal that will see some pretty interesting shows and movies being made. None more interesting, we think, than Scream 4.
