All sorts of cool things are happening this week at the San Diego Comic-Con, including the return of the film that launched six sequels, the original Saw in 3D!
Ever wish you could be in a Saw movie? Me either. Between the convoluted storylines and the fact that nobody sticks around very long, I think it's best to steer clear of that wacky Jigsaw and his uncanny ability to remain twenty steps ahead of his hapless victims. Wanna see cool? How about a Saw themed rollercoaster? That's right, kids, if you're in the UK and looking for a ride with the proper amount of fear injection, Thorpe Park has your prescription!
Though I know he was kidding, at one point in an interview done by Fearnet with Saw VI director Kevin Greutert, he mentions he hopes there’s a breatkthrough in time travel technology so they have a good way to bring back Shawnee Smith’s character, Amanda. That’s about what this series needs to get me back in theaters for it.
Darren Bousman is a man with lots to say. His journey with Repo: The Genetic Opera (review here) alone is enough to fill up a good sized book with scandalous stories, etc.

Is David Hackl's Saw V entering the political arena? Doubtful, but this bit of artwork by Michael Troy featuring Vice Presidential running mate Sarah Palin does put a new spin on the typical lifeless advertising campaigns.
LionsgateLIVE, the studio's YouTube page, is offering visitors a chance create a trailer that will also enter them into a contest consisting of two tickets to the opening of the fifth installment of the franchise and a trip to LA!
Halloween is almost here! Sure, everyone loves junk food and horror movie marathons, but there's one thing we at Dread Central crave more than anything: The wonderful world of haunted mazes!
Jeff Schiefelbein's DarkSide Studios is launching an all-out assault on Halloween with the Saw franchise as their ammo. The studio has created a 10,000 square foot attraction where attendees are given the chance to put their lives in the bloody hands of Jigsaw.
Shawnee Smith, oh how I remember falling in love with her when I first saw The Blob. Did I mention that we have a Splattrax for that? Remember? That great idea we had that went over so well?
