Australian filmmaker Travis Bain is proud to announce that the first teaser trailer for his upcoming film, Throwback, has dropped online. The film takes a classic look at the Sasquatch legend, or as they call him Down Under ... Yowie!

A bit of new artwork and a short teaser video have come our way for the cinéma vérité style Bigfoot flick, The Lost Coast Tapes, and in the interest of science we've decided to share them ... right after we take a plaster cast of the evidence, that is.

Regardless, the important news here is that the award-winning brutal biker film Dear God No! has grabbed a distribution deal with Archstone Distribution.

Since no one apparently was able to locate a viable Sasquatch during the first season of Animal Planet's "Finding Bigfoot", the series is returning in the new year (on January 1st to be exact) for another crack at tracking down the beast.

1313: Bigfoot Island promises to be the ultimate war between shirtless young men with no body hair and the hairiest movie monster of them all. No clean-shaven lad will be safe when they ditch their tops, enter the forest, and face the hirsute horror of an angry Sasquatch.

What better way to start off the new year than with a new entry in the ever-growing Sasquatchploitation genre? The latest stomping DVD shelves this January is the grindhouse-styled (complete with fake film damage) Shriek of the Sasqautch.

Time for a heaping helping of some good old fashioned Sasquatchploitation, kids! The trailer for director Benjamin Cooper's Bigfoot opus, Primitive, is here along with the skinny on how you can catch the flick in Vegas!

Cinéma vérité style filmmaking and Bigfoot should go together like peanut butter and jelly! Ash and the evil dead! Jason and naked teens! It's really a wonder that anyone has yet to make an effective film focusing on the legend of the Sasquatch using this technique, but if the first poster for The Lost Coast Tapes is any indication of what's to come, one may well be on its way.

Movie-making isn't all parading around with Angelina Jolie and accepting Academy Awards. In fact, director Benjamin Cooper is here to tell us that on the low budget end of filmmaking it's all about being shrewd, making good decisions about everything and playing to your strengths. And Cooper is hoping with all this, and a little luck, his film Primitive can turn a profit.

Not since the Eighties has a single bit of artwork had us so pumped up for a movie. Hell, good artwork can get us to watch just about anything around these parts, and once you lay eyes on the latest one-sheet for the upcoming Sasquatchploitation flick Dear God No!, we're sure you'll agree.

We here at Dread Central love Sasquatchploitation. We love any movie that features a man in a rubber monster suit. That’s probably why a movie like Snow Beast leaves us giddy. John Schneider vs. an Abominable Snowman…what’s not to love?
