Rue Morgue

Rue Morgue Turns Eleven!

What better way to celebrate their 11th year making one of the most kickass horror mags out there than by getting the one and only Basil freakin’ Gogos to paint your cover? None, I tells ya, none! Now that is a sexy cover!

'Zine Review: Rue Morgue #82

Issue #82 September 2008

Stop Motion Poe Hits DVD!

We just recieved some very good news for all you fans of stop-motion Poe adaptations!

'Zine Review: Rue Morgue #81

Issue #81 August 2008 The recent death of Stan Winston struck a terrible blow in the horror community, catching almost everyone off guard by its suddenness. I have to commend Rue Morgue on not just getting this issue put together so quickly, but making it such an incredible tribute to the man who created so many iconic creatures.

Rue Morgue's Fifth Festival of Fear!

Rue Morgue is showing us Americans how it’s done yet again this year with their 5th annual Festival of Fear, going down this August 22nd–24th, 2008, at the Metro Toronto Convention Center.

Zine Review: Rue Morgue #78

Issue #78 May 2008 The focus in this month’s Rue Morgue is something we’ve been trying to do a Dinner for Fiends about for the last month or so; the new wave of French horror. Sadly, there’s not a helluva lot to talk about since there are only a handful of movies that are making up this new trend, but it’s nice to see them put it in the forefront for the fans.

'Zine Review: Rue Morgue #76

Issue# 76 March 2008 All right, this one’s a bit late and for that I apologize, but I’ve been hella sick since returning from Fear Fest and am behind on everything. No matter, it’s always nice to have a Rue Morgue to curl up with when I’m feelin’ ill.

Tarman Attack Rue Morgue!

Oh, man, that is a damn fine cover.

Ghoulish Art Online!

Gotta give some love to one of this site’s favorite artists working today, not to mention one of the nicest guys you’d ever want to meet: "Ghoulish" Gary Pullin!

Festival of Fear 2006 - Day 1

I just arrived back home from the third annual Rue Morgue Festival of Fear minutes ago. After enduring a hellacious Labor Day traffic jam, I’d love nothing more than to kick back with a beer and watch some DVDs acquired during the fest. But due to the lack of Internet connection in my Toronto digs and a resultant inability to update coverage over the weekend, the festival stories are already fading, so let me try and get some of it down while the memories are still warm and twitching...

Face Your Fear This Weekend!

Toronto. There's only one thing that can get me to make the trip to that fetid cesspool of drive-by shootings and yuppie scum, and that's the annual Rue Morgue Festival of Fear. For the last three years everyone's favorite horror mag has been putting on a Labor Day labor of love for Canadian horror fans as well as those Americans not afraid of making the snowmobile trip across the Border.
