The last time director Ruben Fleischer spoke about Zombieland 2, he said that though everyone wants to do it, the project was seeming less and less like a reality. If you think that sounded grim, wait till you see his new comments.
Well, kids. It had a good run. A short one but still good. It's sounding as if Zombieland 2 is becoming less and less of a reality. Last week star Jesse Eisenberg was pretty down on the flick happening, and now director Ruben Fleischer has chimed in. Read on.
It's been a while since the prospect of a Zombieland 2 (in 3D no less) has been discussed around these parts, and if Woody Harrelson has his way, it might just stay that way.
Arguably the best part of Ruben Fleischer's Zombieland was Bill Murray's epic cameo. With a 3D sequel on the way there's little doubt that the makers of the flick would like to top their previous work so they're out shopping for a new mega-star to make an appearance.
While working on his next film, 30 Minutes or Less, director Reuben Fleischer recently dropped a couple of hints as to what to expect from the sequel to his hit flick Zombieland, which will be filming in 3D. Curious? We know you are! In an interview with MTV Fleischer said:
Ah, Inception. How nice it is to see a film performing at the box office that actually inspires its audience to use their brains. Actually, it looks as if it has inspired even more than that!
Now that we've heard from the writers of Zombieland, Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick, a couple of times, it's good to hear from the man at the helm regarding the upcoming 3D sequel.
If you’re in the UK and, like me, love zombies, comedy, and Woody Harrelson, you officially have permission to begin the happy dance as Zombieland comes shuffling onto DVD and Blu-ray on March 15th courtesy of Sony Pictures Home Entertainment.
Though I personally was a little disappointed with Zombieland, most people really dug it, and it performed well enough at the box office to warrant a sequel. Writers Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick are working hard to make that happen, and when it does, you can expect all the usual suspects to return for another round of undead mayhem. But what else should you expect?
With the release of the Zombieland DVD and Blu-ray (review here) right around the corner, we've dug up a preview of some of the disc's special features for you. Why? Rule #1: Always give your readers cool shit to look at and sift through.
Zombieland was a lot of fun in theatres, and now the fun's coming home courtesy of Sony Pictures Home Entertainment. Mark your calendars, folks. February 2nd is the day we'll be able to nut-up at video stores all over the country, and we've got your details on what to expect.
Yep, it's gonna happen! Ruben Fleischer's brand of undead flesheater will soon be shambling, running, slipping, and sliding off the big screen in the third dimension, baby!
For most folks' money, Ruben Fleischer's Zombieland was one of the best times genre fans could have in a theatre all year. The flick was indeed successful at the box office, and you know what that means ... a sequel is waiting in the wings.
After a couple of weeks of some less than mainstream Motion Picture Purgatory installments, Trembles returns to the present day with his spin on Ruben Fleischer's Zombieland.
