A new one-sheet for the big screen adaptation of Solomon Kane has raised its sword and declared war online. Well, not really, but the idea sounded kind of cool, no?

In anticipation of Solomon Kane's debut as part of the Toronto International Film Festival's Midnight Madness series this Wednesday, another new promotional still has appeared in our mailbox, so we're opting to post it here instead of just forwarding it to you all!

A new trailer has just hit online along with an interview with director Michael Bassett for his live action adaptation of Solomon Kane, and we've got them both for you along with 60% more awesomeness than anyone else.

Though I seriously doubt we’ll be seeing this poster in theaters anytime soon, today we got our hands on some concept art for Solomon Kane, which we last updated you on this morning. If the art is any indication they’re taking some liberties with Robert E. Howard’s story and giving it more of an action spin, but man the Van Helsing similarities are almost painful, aren't they? An impressive lineup of genre actors have joined up with James Purefoy for Michael (Deathwatch) Bassett’s upcoming adaptation of Robert E. Howard’s Solomon Kane, the first in a planned trilogy, which we first told you about back here. Purefoy plays the eponymous hero.

Michael Bassett has suddenly gone from direct-to-video director to helming a potentially epic series based on character created by Conan writer Robert E. Howard. Not a bad move if you can make it!
