A new film came to Shudder today. That film is What Josiah Saw, the third feature from American filmmaker Vincent Grashaw. Starring Robert Patrick as the stern patriarch of a damaged family, the film leans into the discomfort and tension of Southern Gothic horror. It alludes to the rot inside of a seemingly once-great family unit that’s decayed over time. And the results are deeply unsettling. We were able to score an exclusive clip of the film to show you just how tense this new film is.
In What Josiah Saw, after two decades, a damaged family reunites at their remote farmhouse, where they confront long-buried secrets and sins of the past.

Robert Alan Dilts penned the script. Ran Namerode, Grashaw, Bernie Stern, and Angelia Adzic produced What Josiah Saw. Cole Payne and Scott Haze executive produced the film.
