While the new Prime Video series The Horror Of Dolores Roach is focused on the titular character (played by Justina Machado), it also boasts a stellar supporting cast that make the world feel lived in and complex. Characters like Nellie, played by Kita Updike, and conspiracy theorist delivery guy Jeremiah, played by K. Todd Freeman, are pillars of Dolores’ small sphere. Not only do they add comedy to the horrific show, but they also shine as nuanced characters who support Dolores’ journey every troubled step of the way.
In The Horror Of Dolores Roach:
Dolores Roach is released from prison after 16 years and returns to a gentrified Washington Heights. She reunites with an old stoner friend, Luis (Alejandro Hernandez), who lets her live and work as a masseuse in the basement under his empanada shop. When the promise of her newfound stability is quickly threatened, “Magic Hands” Dolores is driven to shocking extremes to survive.
