Rites of Spring
Screamfest LA, the preeminent horror festival in the country, kicks off its 11th annual event in Los Angeles on October 14 and runs through October 23. Festival founder Rachel Belofsky announced the first wave of this year's entries, and if I were you, I'd do my best to be in LA during those dates!

Ah, monster movies. So close to our hearts. So dear to our souls. In a world dominated by ghost stories, vampires, and slasher flicks, it's great to revisit the sub-genre of vicious beasts who have delivered so many screams. It's been a good two years since last we told you about the upcoming creature feature Rites of Spring, but now finally there's a bit of movement going on!
