Rileah Vanderbilt
Here at Dread Central we're big fans of hot chicks and their boxes, and that's why when word broke of the new indie feature The Pandora Experiment, we immediately were standing at attention.
That's right, kids! Scantily clad hot chicks are here to kick some alien ass, and they're taking no prisoners and breaking no nails! What are you waiting for? Bust out your lube ... err ... I mean lotion and get to ... umm ... oh, just watch the damn thing already!
It happens all too often. You're sitting there on the beach, soaking up some sunshine, and before you know it, an alien invasion springs forth. Now, instead of getting a tan, you're getting a probe, and the bastard extraterrestrials weren't even kind or thoughtful enough to remove your bathing suit first. Who can save us from such horrors?
We broke the first word about the new web series from director Adam Green and co-creator Rileah Vanderbilt, Sexy Nightmare Slayers, a couple of weeks ago, and now the goods have finally arrived. Dig it!
If ever there was a time that we wished to be plagued with horrid nightmares brimming with terror, it's now. That's right, kids! Turn your lights down low and get ready for a sexy evening of scantily clad women protecting you from ferocious beasts!
On Valentine's Day, everyone could use a little love, even those who do nothing but commit heinous acts of evil as a means to garner the power of world domination!
You know I was just sitting here wondering ... "If a zombie outbreak should occur right now, would I have time to save my holiday pies?" While it may seem trivial to most, many of us holiday bakers out there put a lot of time into our flaky pipin' hot treats. The dead have a way of really screwing shit up, ya know? Good thing for us Team Unicorn is there with a new instructional video!
Once it was yanked in Canada, we had a feeling that Adam Green's Hatchet II would eventually get pulled here in the States. Well, we hope you got to see it this weekend.
Adam Green posted the following message from his Twitter account:
Unfortunate news today for our friends in the Great White North ... Adam Green's Hatchet II has been pulled from theatres. Sucks, yes, and even more of a reason why change is so important pertaining to the way things are done.
Adam Green, posted the following message in his Twitter account:
For the past several weeks we've been talking about why you should go see Hatchet II this weekend. We've even asked that if it's not playing by you to support it anyway by going online and buying a ticket to send a message to Hollywood and the MPAA that there IS a market for unrated horror. Now we're putting OUR money where our mouths are!
Horror fans, you've asked for a movie that doesn't shy away from the blood, guts and gore; and Hatchet II delivers that and more. Adam Green and Dark Sky Films, in association with AMC Theaters, are opening Hatchet II unrated rather than cutting out the good stuff to please the MPAA. So will you listen to the call to arms and support unrated horror?
Last night Hatchet II made its Los Angeles premiere at the historic Egyptian Theatre, and since Dread Central was a co-sponsor of the horror-star-studded event, we were in full force to bring you guys back the goods.
So earlier this evening we broke the news first that Adam Green's Hatchet II landed itself an unrated release with a major theater chain, and there's no doubt that this is huge news for both Dark Sky and the Hatchet Army. But for the lucky fans in attendance at the standing room only Hatchet II panel at the San Diego Comic-Con, more goods were on the way!
Not that saber, you friggin' perverts! I'm talking about his new short film Saber. And no, it's not a horror movie, BUT it has hot chicks in their underwear dueling with light sabers. I can't think of a reason for you not to watch.
