"The Gates" is the latest entry in the vampire craze that has overtaken the visual media in recent years, and perhaps unsurprisingly, it brings nothing new to the table.

With the popularity of Twilight, "The Vampire Diaries", and "True Blood", it should come as no surprise that the major networks are trotting out their own vampyric soap operas. Premiering this Sunday night at 9/8 Central is ABC's "Desperate Twilight" - sorry, "The Gates", and the network is offering up the first 17 minutes of the show for viewers to sample.

ABC has released a second, slightly longer promo for its upcoming supernatural crime drama "The Gates", which debuts on June 20th. Just by virtue of the fact that Rhona Mitra's in it, I'm willing to give it a shot; here's hoping it fares better than "Happy Town" did!

In anticipation of IFC Films' roll-out of director Anders Anderson's Stolen, starring Jon Hamm and Josh Lucas, via On Demand on March 3rd and in limited theatres on March 12th, they've released the film's artwork and trailer.

Star power doesn't necessarily equate to a good film, but considering its cast includes the likes of Jon Hamm and Josh Lucas, director Anders Anderson's Stolen certainly is in the running to provide a good time to viewers, which is probably why IFC Films snapped up the North American rights to the mystery thriller.

Per usual, DVD Active got the early word on the special features that'll be found on the Underworld: Rise of the Lycans disc when it hits DVD and Blu-ray on May 12, 2009.

In case Nomad's mostly positive Underworld 3: Rise of the Lycans hasn't whet your appetite enough for the vampire vs. werewolf prequel, below are two clips that ought to do the trick.

All right, this poster for Underworld: Rise of the Lycans actually has a character who plays a Lycan as its focal point, which is a step in the right direction, but it’s still not what I asked for, damnit.

For all of us who had been waiting for a really cool, werewolf-centric poster for Underworld: Rise of the Lycans ... I guess we'll just have to wait a bit longer and deal with this, instead. How disappointing.

The latest entry in the saga of vampires vs. werewolves, Underworld: Rise of the Lycans, is due out in theaters on January 23rd, so doesn’t it seem odd that there’s been so little publicity for it in the last few months? That ends now!

I may be no fan of the previous installments, but the third Underworld flick, Rise of the Lycans, is actually looking pretty decent. And it's not just because Rhona Mitra looks damn hot in armor!

Reporting on Comic-Con, but not actually being there is pretty depressing for that first week, then everyone starts uploading videos they "shouldn't" have taken at the event and it's like we're there. OK, not really .... but I'll fake it for now.
