Who’d have thunk it? A simple kid’s game that we probably have played hundreds of times as children could be the source of such trauma that it warranted its own support group!
Bruce Branit, the visual effects whiz who previously worked on the likes of King Kong, Ghost Rider and numerous other TV and film projects, jumps in the director’s chair for Gotcher a sub-4 minute short that will make anyone leery of letting their child be the victim of such a seemingly innocent joke. Set against the backdrop of a secret support group, a small collection of sufferers meets to discuss the memories of having something very important taken from them, and their ultimate plan for revenge against the man responsible.
Branit once again uses his prowess to offer up an extremely inventive product, and even though this is painfully short in runtime, you manage to grab hold of what he’s sending across to you – bottom line: it’s simple, it’s effective, and it entertains…am I sick for thinking this? In any event, the short is currently available on YouTube for all to watch, so see for yourself…but remember, PLEASE don’t let your children open the door.
