Our Canadian friends will be able to see Discopath (review here) on DVD and digital/cable VOD beginning next week, and today we have a look at the first four minutes of the film along with its new artwork and a few stills.

Black Fawn Distribution and Juice are pleased to release the first four minutes of their new acquisition Discopath.
After selling out its World Premiere at the Fantasia International Film Festival, Discopath has traveled the world, leaving its ‘70s era disco stamp on festivals from Brazil to Brussels. Now, the award winning slasher has found a home on DVD in Canada through Black Fawn Distribution and on digital and cable VOD via Juice. Discopath is set for release in Canada on Tuesday, June 10th.
“Discopath has become a fan favourite at film festivals everywhere, and it has generated a lot of buzz,” states Black Fawn Distribution’s owner Chad Archibald. “We felt it would be a cool idea to give horror fans a sneak peek. The opening of Discopath really highlights Renaud’s attention to detail and sets up the style for the rest of the film.”
Juice’s president Paul Zimic concurs: “We’re extremely proud of Discopath, and we couldn’t have a more perfect partner to release than the dedicated and twisted minds at Black Fawn Distribution.”
Discopath has been celebrated at film festivals around the world including Fantasia International Film Festival (Montreal), Brussels International Fantastic Film Festival (Brussels, Belgium), FrightFest (London, UK), and The Blood in the Snow Film Festival (Toronto), where it took home Best Film, Best Actor, and Best Screenplay honours.
The Discopath DVD will include commentary with director Renaud Gauthier, actor Ivan Freud, and composer Bruce Cameron as well as an exclusive 24-minute behind-the-scenes documentary.

Synopsis:
In the debut feature film from director Renaud Gauthier, a timid young New Yorker in the mid-70s leads an uneventful life until he is fatefully exposed to the pulsating rhythms of a brand new genre of music: disco! Unable to control his murderous impulses that stem from a traumatic childhood experience, Duane Lewis (Jeremie Earp-Lavernge) transforms into a dangerous serial killer exiled to Montreal. Discopath features an unbelievable set design and a killer disco soundtrack (featuring cuts from KC & The Sunshine Band and Kiss).
