Hayden Panettiere, Nikki Reed and Rebecca De Mornay Head to Downers Grove

It’s a veritable trilogy of star-powered terror as Hayden Panettiere (Scream 4), Nikki Reed (Chain Letter) and Rebecca De Mornay (Mother’s Day) are now all officially attached to a new flick written by Bret Easton Ellis for Myriad Pictures! Wow, does that sound tasty!
According to Deadline New York Ellis’ screenplay is based on the novel by Michael Hornberg. Nelson McCormick will direct. The cast so far includes Panettiere (pictured right), Reed and De Mornay. The story revolves around a “curse” at the high school in the Chicago suburb of Downer’s Grove. Every year one senior dies a bizarre death before the end of the school year. Christie Swanson (Panettiere) is paranoid that this year, the victim will be her. The film will shoot in Louisiana in spring 2011.
