It's really happening. Ridley Scott is making another Alien movie. Today we've learned a little bit more about the project, which is all kinds of intriguing.

We don't know about you guys but we can't get enough Kong, and consume it lovingly in all shapes and sizes no matter how good or bad! Who can't laugh at King Kong Lives' Queen Kong and her pendulous gorilla titties? Or the Japanese Kong that had eyebrows and like nineteen elbows in his arms! Or better yet who hasn't watched Peter Jackson's version of King Kong and thought to themselves at least once during its massive run time -- "This is what I go to the movies for!" Looks like we're gonna have another reason to head to theatres again soon!

John Carpenter's The Thing is some pretty sacred ground. I breathed a heavy sigh of relief when it was announced that it wasn't being remade. Instead, we're getting a prequel. Not too upset about that!

You knew it was inevitable as talk has been steadily circulating for the past few months about Universal's prequel to the 1982 John Carpenter masterpiece The Thing. Well, a director and writer have officially been named.

We first heard about IDW Publishing's plans for a Terminator: Salvation comic prequel back when the 2008 San Diego Comic-Con was in full swing, and now we've got more details along with a look at the cover of Issue #1.

There are ways to market a horror film that can make it look like something truly horrifying, even if the actual product is not. There are also ways to market a horror film that make it look ridiculous, which in the case of David Goyer’s The Unborn, we’ve heard is sadly a fact.

Collider managed to eke a bit more information out of actor Will Smith recently regarding plans for an upcoming I Am Legend expansion pack.

For reasons perhaps only the gods truly understand, Warner Bros. has begun to speed up the development of the proposed prequel to I Am Legend with Will Smith set to return as scientist Francis Neville and Francis Lawrence back in the director's chair, according to Variety.

As Comic Con rolls on, the boys over at STYD got their ears tuned to two somewhat sad and disturbing bits of info; the remake of Suspiria is still moving forward, and a prequel to I Am Legend is in the works.

Still waiting for release news on the Death Note movies here in the States? So are we ... Now we’re closer to another Death Note movie we’ll have to wait for info on, the Hideo Nakata-helmed prequel L, which has been silent for a while, too ("Death Note Prequel Helmer Named!" – April 2007)

Just a few days back it was reported that a new Underworld movie was getting ready to roll in New Zealand ("Kiwis in the Underworld" – October 2007), but that was literally all the information we had on it.
