Introducing The Dead Outside

In horror these days, there are two types of indies: movies you can tell were made on the very definition of a “shoestring budget” that are usually riddled with effects and performances so bad you can’t help but smile, and movies made by those who either had more money or just knew how to use it better along with a serious story to tell. The Dead Outside looks to, refreshingly, be of the latter category. Dig some plot:

Severance Director to Helm Black Death

It’s been a long time since we’ve heard hide or hair about Black Death, the post-apocalyptic medieval film we first mentioned back in February. Thankfully we can not only give you more on the film itself, but the goods news that Severance (review) director Christopher Smith is now at the helm!

First Poster for Aftermath!

We just got the first look at a teaser poster for the upcoming post-apocalyptic film Aftermath, which is on its way from Canadian director Laurent Piche. Along with the poster, which you can see below, there's also word that some pretty big names are circling Aftermath right now in terms of studios, so keep your fingers crossed!

Eisenberg Goes to Zombieland

Some more casting is close to happening on the Ruben Fleischer horror/comedy Zombieland, which you may recall is set to star Woody Harrelson as half of a pair of survivors of a zombie apocalypse who finds “friendship and redemption” in the new world order, according to THR.

If you’ve been wondering what the status is on the John Hillcoat-helmed adaptation of Cormac McCarthy’s post-apocalyptic tale of a father’s love, The Road, look no further than Nick Cave.

Official Terminator Salvation Poster!

Not much more to say. Warner Bros. sent out the official teaser poster for Terminator Salvation today after it made its world premiere at last weekend’s Comic Con. Simple, yet badass; I like it! The fourth Terminatorfilm hits theaters on May 9th, 2009, so expect plenty of stuff for it between now and then!
