A few days back we gave you guys work on Vivid, a new UK horror film starring Charisma Carpenter. Within said story we mentioned another film called Straw Man, the relevance being that horror journalist/author/actress Axelle Carolyn had a role in both. Today more info came down on Straw Man, and since I’m in a sharing mood, here it is!
A while back I did an article about the upcoming horror movies making their way to us from Spain, in which was mentioned a viral outbreak movie called Carriers. Nothing was really known about it save that it was being helmed by Alex & David Pastor, but today we’ve learned oh so much more.
In horror these days, there are two types of indies: movies you can tell were made on the very definition of a “shoestring budget” that are usually riddled with effects and performances so bad you can’t help but smile, and movies made by those who either had more money or just knew how to use it better along with a serious story to tell. The Dead Outside looks to, refreshingly, be of the latter category. Dig some plot:
It’s been a long time since we’ve heard hide or hair about Black Death, the post-apocalyptic medieval film we first mentioned back in February. Thankfully we can not only give you more on the film itself, but the goods news that Severance (review) director Christopher Smith is now at the helm!

“The world ended on a Tuesday.” While it’s enticing to think of, I hope we can get through one more Halloween before it does. Actually, that’s the last line in the wicked teaser trailer for Aftermath, a new film coming our way from the Great White North, which you can check out below.
Some more casting is close to happening on the Ruben Fleischer horror/comedy Zombieland, which you may recall is set to star Woody Harrelson as half of a pair of survivors of a zombie apocalypse who finds “friendship and redemption” in the new world order, according to THR.
If you’ve been wondering what the status is on the John Hillcoat-helmed adaptation of Cormac McCarthy’s post-apocalyptic tale of a father’s love, The Road, look no further than Nick Cave.
USA Today got their hands on six new images from John Hilcoat’s The Road, based on the best selling novel from Carmac McCarthy. Below you can see one of them, hit up USA Today or The Road’s database entry here on the site for the rest.
Not much more to say. Warner Bros. sent out the official teaser poster for Terminator Salvation today after it made its world premiere at last weekend’s Comic Con. Simple, yet badass; I like it! The fourth Terminatorfilm hits theaters on May 9th, 2009, so expect plenty of stuff for it between now and then!
