Someone very sneaky was on hand during the shooting of the new Friday the 13th and managed to snap some pretty candid shots of the new Jason Voorhees unmasked! The pics showed up today over on Horror Bid, and while they’re all pretty clear, it's still hard to make out the disfigured face too clearly.

The official website for the Platinum Dunes remake of Friday the 13th, starring Derek Mears as our favorite masked killer, has just become active. Sadly, there's not much on the site aside from a high resolution image of Jason's mask as it was seen in the recent posters.

I seriously doubt this will be up long, so make sure you get your eyes on it now if you really want to see a crappy shot-at-Comic-Con version of the Friday the 13th remake trailer.

Uncle Creepy just called in from Comic Con with a full description of the Friday the 13th teaser, which made a surprise debut at the show. On the right you can also see a first look at the remake poster, which is suitably creepy and cool. Ready for the description? Here we go...

Mezco Toys sure didn't hold back at this year's San Diego Comic-Con! The company's Cinema of Fear line just grew with the inclusion of new figures of Freddy, Jason, Leatherface and more! Did I mention that one of Mezco's new 12" figures is based on the Platinum Dunes remake of Friday the 13th?! The Mezco booth also showed off the second series of figures from the Hellboy II: The Golden Army line.

Well, I guess being a music station gets you some pull with Platinum Dunes, eh? So what, we’re not good enough to post video from the set of the Friday the 13th remake? I kid, of course. I was honored just to be invited to set! MTV just put up the first look at Jason’s mask from the upcoming reboot. I got to hold said mask on set and let me tell ya, it’s pretty damn sexy. Sure, it’s nothing groundbreaking but why should it be? It’s iconic!

It’s 5AM in Austin, TX. I haven’t slept in 24 hours and I have a flight to catch at 9AM. I’m tired, my stomach hurts and I’m more than a little loopy right now. But you know what? None of it matters, because I just spent the day on the set of Friday the 13th!
