Jim Isaace (pictured with Kane Hodder on the set of Jason X) on to the Pig FarmThough I’ve heard from some that Skinwalkers isn’t fit to smell the droppings of the Kessler Wolf, I still can’t help but look forward to it for two reasons: One, it’s a werewolf movie; and two, it’s directed by Jim Isaac, the man who brought us the seriously fun Jason X.

Yesterday Fangoria got word about how Isaac will follow up Skinwalkers, which I get the feeling left a bad taste in his mouth. He’s heading up to Northern California to shoot a flick called Pig Farm, which tells of some friends who travel to a deceased uncle’s cabin to hunt pigs (?), only to find out the truth behind a local legend; namely, a 3000-pound black boar who roams the woods, making humans his bitch.

Lots of weapons, lots of marijuana and a cult of girls who grow weed by day and worship the pig by night will all add to the strange atmosphere of Pig Farm, as will Primus frontman Les Claypool, whom Isaac has attached to have some kind of role though I doubt it’s center stage. Charlie Musselwhite, a relatively famous blues/jazz harmonica player, and New York poet Byron Bain have also signed on for roles; but Issac admitted that the rest of the cast members are Northern California unknowns. At least for now.

“Our goal is to make this movie our way,” Isaac told the magazine, “without the influence of the Hollywood machine that unfortunately has created a system that chips away at the creative process with little respect for the filmmakers. I simply want to do something my way for once.” See what I mean about a bad taste left over from his last few movies?

Keep it here for more updates on Pig Farm as we hunt them down!
