12 HOUR SHIFT Harvests Black Market Organs on Blu-ray New Month

Magnet Releasing will unleash writer-director Brea Grant’s black comedy 12 Hour Shift with Angela Bettis and David Arquette on Blu-ray and DVD on January 5th.

No special features are listed. But you can check out the killer cover art below.

12 Hour Shift follows a nurse desperate to make it through her double shift without incident. This is particularly hard to do because she’s an addict and involved in a black market organ-trading scheme. When her dangerous cousin messes up a kidney delivery, chaos descends on the Arkansas hospital and the two frantically try to secure a replacement organ through any means necessary. Then a convict’s presence brought spirals events further out of control.

Brea Grant (Dexter, After Midnight, Rob Zombie’s Halloween II) writes and directs the film. Angela Bettis stars along with Chloe Farnworth, Nikea Gamby-Turner, Kit Williamson, David Arquette, and Mick Foley. David Arquette produced along with Christina Arquette, Jordan Wayne Long, Tara Perry, and Matt Glass.

The film sports a 76% approval rating over on Rotten Tomatoes. The Critics Consensus reads: Sharp, twisted, and darkly funny, 12 Hour Shift is an uncommonly clever heist caper with a refreshing female-focused twist.

12 Hour Shift was going to have its world premiere at the Tribeca Film Festival back in April. But COVID-19 put an end to those plans. Magnet Releasing acquired the film’s worldwide distribution rights in June. The flick is now available on VOD.
