New Jersey Horror Convention Scares Attendees This April

New Jersey is home to several horror icons, including Pamela and Jason Vorhees, Chucky, Tiffany Valentine, and Toxie. It is also home to one of the most exciting conventions, the New Jersey Horror Convention and Film Festival (NJHC). Bringing together industry professionals, stars, and horror enthusiasts, the NJHC brings the world of horror together to network and celebrate all things terrifying.

Dread Central will be on hand this year to connect with fans and celebrities in attendance. Join us in Edison, New Jersey, this April 19th, 20th, and 21st as we praise the diverse and depraved range of horror produced over the years.

Founded in 2017 by New Jersey-based independent horror director Ryan Scott Weber, the NJHC is a haven for horror. It’s a destination where fans can link up and bask in the genre’s gory glory.

Weber didn’t just set out to create another horror con. The event also serves as a showcase of indie horror, where fans can meet their favorite stars while discovering new stars and indie films. The three-day event aims to be a horror fans dream come true, featuring:

  • More than 20 horror celebrities
  • Indie horror films
  • Film awards
  • Q&A panels
  • 200 vendors
  • Cosplay
  • Trivia contest
  • Photo Ops

Horror and horror-adjacent celebrities have packed the expo floor over the years, with notable names including Clint Howard, Danielle Harris, Felissa Rose, Mick Foley, Joel Murray, Michael Berryman, and many more. This year’s festivities include top names on screen and behind the camera, including:

  • Kane Hodder
  • Hocus Pocus reunion (Kathy Najimy, Thora Birch, Omri Katz, Vinessa Shaw)
  • Lost Boys reunion (G Tom Mac, Jamison Newlander, Chance Michael Corbitt)
  • Child’s Play 2‘s Alex Vincent and Christine Elise
  • Jason Marsden
  • Shannyn Sossamon
  • Nicholas King
  • Adam Green
  • Adam Marcus
  • Felissa Rose
  • The Grimm Life Collective and plenty more

Don’t miss out on the festivities this April, and be sure to say hi if you see us. We’re still torn between going as Baghead from The Strangers or Judy from Sleepaway Camp. So, be sure to let us know what costume you like more. We’ll see you there!
