Paul PrischmanUPDATE: We’ve been told that tickets for the Blade Runner screening will go on sale today at 12PM PST! Tickets are available for the general public. Click here or on the banner below to find out more!

If there’s one thing I know about this horror community of ours, it’s that when the chips are down for someone, we all pull together and do whatever we can to pitch in. You have no idea how proud I am of that fact. The time has come again to step up.

Paul Prischman. The name may not exactly jump out at you, but we owe a great debt to this man. Paul was a fixture at the venerable Dave’s Video in Studio City and went on to work with Charles De Laurizika, aiding Charles in the DVDs for the Alien Quadrilogy, Kingdom of Heaven, Gladiator — Extended Edition and the amazing Blade Runner — Ultimate Edition.

Unfortunately Paul has been diagnosed with brain cancer. His friend Bill Hunt of The Digital Bits is in the midst of helping to set up a trust in Paul’s name to help pay for his needed treatment. In addition to that Bill is also hard at work creating a special benefit screening soon for Paul. Details will be announced at The Digital Bits website soon. Keep your eye on it.

Paul’s Brain Trust site is also now open with lots of information about what you can do to help right now. Every little bit helps.

Stay strong Paul, we’re pulling for you, brother! God bless!
