Robert Bowling’s Robotoki revealed that its first project would in fact be a zombie game. Human Element will throw players into the shoes of survivors coping with a zombie apocalypse. Read on to learn more!

Human Element will allow players to pick among three classes (Action, Intelligence and Stealth) and choose one of three profiles (Survive Alone, Survive with a Partner and Survive with a Young Child).

“Their greatest strength is the fear that [zombies] instill in us, the survivors, that unreasonable fear. Unreasonable fear that leads us to do unreasonable things to survive,” stated Robert Bowling. “How you choose to start in the world will determine how you can engage and impacts the scenarios you will be presented with on a physical and morality level.”

Robotoki will also be creating an episodic prequel to Human Element for the Android-powered Ouya console. It will be broken into episodic titles much like Telltale’s The Walking Dead and be available in March 2013.

Regarding the title on the Ouya console, Bowling stated, “The episodic prequels on Ouya will be much more focused on showing a very specific story from a pinnacle moment in the fall of society, such as a day after the event occurs and a week after. This will be a solo experience. Luckily, the design for Human Element is much different than that of Day Z or other zombie games, as we’re not a zombie game in the traditional sense and simply use the zombie apocalypse as a catalyst to tell a story of survival and human behavior defined by moral choices and actions in addition to the cross platform play of how the prequels will lead to the main story and how you’ll have the option for mobile interaction such as looting real world locations via GPS data and feeding those supplies back to your character in-game.”

Human Element is set to release in 2015 for consoles, mobile devices, and PC.
