Actress Odeya Rush Feels Goosebumps

After numerous false starts, a big screen adaptation of R.L. Stine’s mega-popular Goosebumps series is finally on its way. And it has just found itself a lead actress. Read on!
The Wrap reports that 16-year-old Israeli actress Odeya Rush has landed the young female lead in the adaptation. Rush will be appearing alongside Jack Black, who recently closed a deal to star.
In the film, directed by Rob Letterman (Gulliver’s Travels, Shark Tale), Black will play Mr. Shivers, a Stine-like author whose scary characters literally leap off the page, forcing him to hide from his own creepy creations.
Rush will play Black’s quirky and mysterious niece, who teams up with her young male neighbor to battle the monsters unleashed from Mr. Shivers’ works.
Neal H. Moritz will produce with Deborah Forte of Scholastic Entertainment.
