It's been a long time coming, but then again some things are worth the wait. Especially hungry dead things looking to make you their next meal. Hold on to your asses, kids, for your first look at a new take on the classic George A. Romero film entitled Night of the Living Dead: Origins.

The Night Crew podcast released its fifth episode today featuring an exclusive look at the film Stake Land's cast and crew.

Actress Danielle Harris has had to face off against quite a few horror icons over her illustrious 24-year-long film career in Hollywood. She's taken on two incarnations of Michael Myers, Victor Crowley in Hatchet II and even a lesser degree- a crazy, revenge-seeking Rebecca Gayheart in Urban Legend.

We recently got our hands on some old test render footage from the upcoming Night of the Living Dead: Origins project helmed by our buddy Zeb De Soto.

More exclusive artwork has come our way for Zebediah de Soto's upcoming 3D animated feature film Night of the Living Dead: Origins, and like everything else we've seen from this project, things are lookin' pretty damned cool.

You want badass? This is pretty damned badass! We've scored your first ever look at Tony Todd as Ben in Zebediah de Soto's upcoming 3D animated feature film Night of the Living Dead: Origins, and all we can say is wow. Just wow.

It's been a little over a month since last we talked about Zebediah de Soto's Night of the Living Dead: Origins, and since then two more stars have agreed to lend their voices to this truly original spin on the classic.

A source close to the pre-production goings-on of Zebediah de Soto's Night of the Living Dead: Origins called in with some exclusive updated casting news that makes the 3D "American anime" sound better and better all the time. Mos Def is confirmed as Ben, and four more parts are in the final stages of negotiation.

More news ... and the first image ... has trickled out about Zebediah de Soto's 3D "American anime" Night of the Living Dead remake. Not only did we get confirmation that Joe Pilato will indeed be portraying Cooper, but we also learned the name of one of the actors being considered for Ben.

Between the Paranormal Activity midnight screenings that took place last night and Dread Central's Fantastic Fest activities that are ongoing in Austin, TX, this weekend, we're stretched a little thin so thought we'd just cut to the chase with the latest developments on two projects that we're keeping a close eye on: Zebediah de Soto's 3D Night of the Living Dead: Origins and Oren Peli's Area 51. Most of the info on both came to us via Twitter.

Didn't we just get treated to a 3D remake of Night of the Living Dead a few years ago, and didn't it pretty much suck to high heaven? Here we are once again, and for the record George A. Romero has nothing to do with this production either. This time it's being produced by Simon West, director of the abysmal remake When a Stranger Calls and the equally atrocious Lara Croft: Tomb Raider.
