We’ve known for a while about the DTV sequel to Bill Malone’s House on Haunted Hill, craftily titled Return to House on Haunted Hill, since it was first announced a while back. Little’s been said about it since, however, though we know for a fact that Jeffrey Combs is in it again, since he told us on-camera at last October’s Rock & Shock convention.
Today PrimEdge, Inc. announced that post-production has officially wrapped on the sequel, reports Coming Soon, and a DVD debut is planned for September courtesy of Dark Castle Entertainment. Cerina Vincent, Erik Palladino, Andrew Lee Potts and Andrew Pleavin also star.
Producer Joel Silver told CS all about what their reasoning was for doing a direct-to-DVD sequel and revealed that if this one does well, we can look forward to even more. Maybe Another 13 Ghosts? Gothika 2? The mind reels.
Victor Garcia, who’s done effects work for Hellboy and Romasanta, makes his directorial debut on the sequel, the plot of which is still not terribly clear, other than it revolves around another group of people going into the house. You know, the one up on Haunted Hill?
