Red Sands Trailer is Live!

It’s been a while since we’ve heard from Alex Turner regarding his Dead Birds follow-up, Stone House, but a lot’s happened with it since we did. The title is now “>Red Sands, which I gotta admit I like better, and there’s now a very cool trailer you can feast your eyes upon below!
Red Sands is the story of some soldiers in Iraq who, out of boredom, destroy a statue without knowing anything about it. Bad idea. The next day something visits them, and it’s not happy.

Sony’s Stage 6 will be putting Red Sands on DVD come February 24th, 2009; click here to pre-order it now, enjoy the trailer below and look for more updates soon!

No, the director had nothing to do with the editing and scoring of this trailer. It’s all Sony/Stage 6. The music in the film is actually much, much better…

Thanks God for that, man. I was going to have to pose some serious questions about what happened to your taste post-Dead Birds if that had been your choosing 😀

I trust the marketing folks at Stage 6 have a better handle on this type of thing than I do…

Yeah, I sure hope the director had nothing to do with editing and scoring this trailer. The film may yet turn out to be good but this is one of the worst trailers in recent memory.

Dead Birds was great. I have high hopes for this one.
Permafrost, don’t you know “cool and hip” when you hear it? It kinda sounds like music, just louder and void of melody.

…do they fuck it up with such cheese-ass music? God-fucking-dammit all to shit! Could’ve had some great atmosphere, but someone’s dumbass Limp Bizkit wetdream just fucked it in the ear. One would hope the actual movie is better than it’s trailer…

I’m with you all the way Permafrost… I mean, if they insist on putting some music over the trailer then why not something with a bit more atmosphere (and something created by people with a lot more talent)?

Surely not a hard thing to do???
