According to Variety, Slamdance has chosen Glenn McQuaid’s I Sell the Dead to kick off this year’s festival, which runs in Park City, Utah, January 15-23, 2009. Quite an honor for the film, which is a production of Larry Fessenden’s Glass Eye Pix, and it’s only one of many reasons why Slamdance is going to be cooler than Sundance next year.
Other reasons include Rosencrantz & Guildenstern Are Undead, Mum & Dad, Conjurer (review), and a documentary about violent porn websites (!) called Graphic Sexual Horror which, I’m sorry to say, is one of the coolest titles ever.
