Slamdance runs January 15-23, 2009According to Variety, Slamdance has chosen Glenn McQuaid’s I Sell the Dead to kick off this year’s festival, which runs in Park City, Utah, January 15-23, 2009. Quite an honor for the film, which is a production of Larry Fessenden’s Glass Eye Pix, and it’s only one of many reasons why Slamdance is going to be cooler than Sundance next year.

Other reasons include Rosencrantz & Guildenstern Are Undead, Mum & Dad, Conjurer (review), and a documentary about violent porn websites (!) called Graphic Sexual Horror which, I’m sorry to say, is one of the coolest titles ever.

Check out Slamdance’s official site for all the information you may need as to how you can be a part of this year’s show!
