Paddy Breathnatch made his unique name known with “>Shrooms (DVD review), one of the first horror movies made about the dangers of psychotropic mushrooms (well, kind of). Now he’s back with Red Mist (back from its modified title of Freakdog), which Anchor Bay has prepped for a DVD release on February 10th.
The Anchor Bay folks sent the cover art to us over the weekend, which you can appreciate in full by clicking on the smaller image to your right. For those unsure, here’s some official Red Mist plotting: The medical students at Forthaven General Hospital study hard and party harder, until a cruel prank accidentally puts the facility’s creepy janitor into a deep coma. But when one responsible student tries to revive the degenerate loner with an experimental injection, she instead sends his brainwaves berserk. Will a sudden spree of sick kicks now claim the guilty one by one, or has the ultimate out of body experience ushered in a bloodbath of brutal revenge?
Sounds hella 80’s horror to me; here’s hoping it keeps that kind of mentality in place for its run time. Use the link below to pre-order Red Mist through Evilshop, and keep it here for more on the film very soon!
