Behind the Outlander

Outlander production art (click to see it bigger!)Nothing sucks worse than the last hour of work on a Friday, let me tell you. I try to spend as much of that time as I can doing as little work as possible, and today it paid off pretty well for you guys!

While digging around in the usual holes for information on movies I’ve not heard about in a while, I came across a link to some behind-the-scenes footage from Outlander, currently filming up in Halifax, Nova Scotia. Seeing as how it’s going down in Canada, the footage is from their answer to the Sci Fi Channel (only cooler), Space.

Before we get to that, a quick catch-up for those who may have forgotten: Outlander takes place during the age of Vikings (a popular time period in film these days). When a spaceship crash lands, there are only two survivors — a man from an more advanced society (Vincent Caviezel) and an alien predator known as Moorwen. The human bands together with the Vikings to bring the monster down before it can destroy everything in its path.

Wow, Vikings and monsters in one movie? Yes, please!

Click here to check out the brief set report, which features all sorts of action and what might be a brief view of Moorwen in the flesh!
