Were you beginning to think you’d never be able to complete your Dario Argento DVD collection? I know I sure as hell was; almost every single one of the man’s movies has been released on DVD, sometimes more than once, save for one: Four Flies on Grey Velvet. Until now!
I’m not sure how they got around the rights issues that have prevented Four Flies from being released in the States to date, but Mya Communications will be putting the DVD on shelves come February 24th, 2009. The film will be fully uncut and come with a teaser trailer, original trailer, English opening and closing credits, and an extensive gallery of art for the film.
Four Flies on Grey Velvet is the story of a rock drummer named Roberto who accidentally kills a man he believes has been stalking him. Of course someone was on the scene with a camera and got the whole incident on film, and pretty soon a spiraling descent into madness ensues as Roberto tries to cover up the quickly mounting body count.
