Back in the late 80’s, a study on Cuttyhunk Island gave scientists the first real taste of jumping up the evolutionary ladder. As with most experiments that fuck with Mother Nature, though, something went very, very wrong and the island lost 3/4 of its population.
Now, 20 years later, a survivor of this catastrophe returns to the island to sell of her property but the outbreak isn’t quite done with them yet. Such is the premise of Growth, a new sci-fi/horror movie that first reared its head during AFM. You can hit up the official Growth site to check out a very slick teaser for the film along with more pics like the one you see on your right.
There are some shades of Slither, sans humor, in the Growth trailer; hopefully the deadly serious tone it’s taking won’t be detrimental to what the film is trying to accomplish, cause overall it looks pretty cool. We’ll stay on top of it and let you know when we learn more!
