AFM: Paranormal Activity Sold Around the World!

default-featured-image

Paranormal Activity sold everywhere! Some good news from the floor of AFM for indie filmmaker and friend of the site Oren Peli, who’s remaking his own Paranormal Activity. The original had a packed screening at AFM and, according to Screen Daily, has received attention from all over the world.

Major territories have been closed for Paranormal Activity, including the UK, Australia and New Zealand (Icon), France (Metropolitan), Scandinavia (Svensk), South Korea (Korean Screen), Greece (Village Roadshow), Singapore (Golden Village) and Portugal (Ec Films).

But that’s not all! Deals are still being worked out for Germany, Italy and Japan, and there are even local-language sequel rights being discussed for Russia, Japan and South Korea. Weird … Peli’s next project, Area 51, will be officially unveiled by the end of the show.

We’ll hopefully be hearing more about the Paranormal Activity remake, which is in the hands of Dreamworks, before show’s end as well!
