Now this is just a badass poster. I know it’s simplistic and maybe doesn’t tell you much about the film (what poster does nowadays?), but that’s the reason I love it so much; it fits the mood of Ti West’s “>House of the Devil perfectly. Twitch got the first look at it, and we need to stress it is not final art in any sense but was created for the AFM.
Set in the 1980’s, hence the retro look for the poster, House of the Devil is about a babysitter whose latest job goes horribly awry when she finds out the people she’s babysitting for have nefarious plans for her because of her virginal status and the particular moon cycle she finds herself in. Tom Noonan., Mary Woronov and bearded madman A.J. Bowen star as the family.
House of the Devil will have some bits and pieces shown at next month’s AFM, of course, so we’ll have more for you very soon. Hopefully the poster you see on your right is the only one they ever use because, like I said, it is truly cool and indicative of the film.
