Neil Marshall Signs Deal with Legendary TV

It sure is a good news day for people named Neil (one “l” or two)! Deadline is reporting that director Neil Marshall and his longtime agent Marc Helwig have formed a TV/film production company, Applebox Entertainment, which has signed a two-year overall deal with Legendary TV.
Also of note to “Hannibal” fans: Most recently Marshall has been directing upcoming episodes of the NBC series so we have that to look forward to in the short term.
But back to the Legendary deal… The English-born duo will develop scripted dramas with a focus on elevated genre fare and projects with worldwide appeal.
“Aside from our longstanding business relationship, going on 17 years now, Marc and I are also great friends and share a common passion and desire to create exceptional television and movies,” Marshall said. “Marc understands the business, inside and out, but he also understands and appreciates that great drama comes from a great story and great characters.”
