Finnish filmmaker Jalmari Helander won over my heart with Rare Exports, which is literally one of my favorite things to happen in the past decade. Up next, he and Samuel L. Jackson head out into the woods for Big Game, a film that looks to be one of the most must-see events of the year.
You’ll find the trailer below courtesy of Empire. No Stateside release date has been set, though the film hits UK theaters on May 8th.
Written and directed by Helander, Big Game also stars Ray Stevenson, Felicity Huffman, Onni Tommila, Ted Levine, Jim Broadbent, and Victor Garber.
Synopsis:
The fate of the most powerful man in the world lies in the hands of a 13-year-old boy. Plunged into a deadly game of cat and mouse with only hours to spare, Oskari and the President must team up to survive the most extraordinary night of their lives.
