Man, and I thought the U.S. was getting weird. A few days back you may remember a story we did about some new acquisitions by Tartan Films for release in the U.S. One of said films was called Taxidermia, which is an odd enough title in its own right.
The film is about three generations of men: a world champion speed-eater, an embalmer of gigantic cats, and a man with the ability to shoot fire out of his penis. Sound fucked up? Well, if the trailer is any indication, it sure as hell is. It’s made an impression everywhere it’s shown up on the festival circuit because of its special effects, and Tartan has plans for a theatrical run for the film sometime next year.
