IFC Midnight has nailed down the rights to the flick Reversal, which enjoyed its premiere at this year’s Sundance Film Festival. Read on for the skinny!

From the Press Release:
IFC Midnight announced today from the 2015 Sundance Film Festival that the company is acquiring U.S. rights to Dark Factory Entertainment’s gritty revenge thriller REVERSAL. The film is directed by JM Cravioto and stars breakout actress Tina Ivlev and Richard Tyson. The screenplay was written by Rock Shaink, Jr., and Keith Kjornes. Dark Factory’s Daniel Posada and Rodolfo Marquez produced alongside Alex Garcia of AG Studios. REVERSAL premiered in the “Park City at Midnight” section of the 2015 Sundance Film Festival.

REVERSAL is about a young woman, Eve (Tina Ivlev), who fights back and manages to escape a malicious abductor. However, after discovering she may not be the only victim, Eve unravels a darker truth and decides to turn the tables on her captor.

“IFC Midnight is the perfect partner for this film and has a wealth of experience in distributing elevated genre titles,” says Dark Factory’s CEO Daniel Posada. “We’re very happy to join the IFC Midnight family and can’t wait for U.S. audiences to gain access to this film.”

The deal was negotiated by Sean Berney, Manager of Acquisitions for IFC Midnight, with Paradigm on behalf of the filmmakers.

REVERSAL is the first film under the Dark Factory banner. The production company recently filmed One Shot, starring Topher Grace and Anne Heche, in Mexico and plans to continue making English language films in its home country. Dark Factory has also lined up a second horror film with JM Cravioto, 100 Cries of Horror, which is slated for production this year.

IFC Midnight is a sister label to IFC Films and Sundance Selects and is owned and operated by AMC Networks Inc.
