Season Two of True Blood Confirmed

HBO's True Blood (click for larger image)Not even three episodes in, and HBO is apparently already very happy with the latest creation from “Six Feet Under” creator Alan Ball, “True Blood”, as they just sent out a press release announcing that the show’s been signed on for a second season!

“We are absolutely thrilled that the critics and our viewers have embraced True Blood,” president of Programming Group and West Coast Operations Michael Lombardo said in the release. “Alan Ball has done it again – made an addictive series that is unlike any other.”

Indeed, critics all over the country (including our own Debi Moore, who reviewed it “>right here) fell in the love with the show, based on the series of novels written by Charlaine Harris, almost immediately. If you’ve not caught it yet, it’s set in an alternate world where vampires are real and mainly only drink synthetic blood. A bond develops between a human and a vampire in a backwoods Louisiana town, and lots of complications arise.

Production on Season 2 of “True Blood” is expected to start soon so keep it here for updates!

I love True Blood and I can’t wait for Season 2. I am going through major True Blood withdrawal and the only thing that is getting me through is reading the latest news that comes out about True Blood.

Am I the only person on Earth who didn’t like Six Feet Under?

Six Feet Under was pretty good in the first season, then it got too convoluted for it’s own good. Some called it pretentious, I called it boring.

Anyone wanna bet it doesn’t make Season 3?

No slam against the series, I just expect HBO to do like it always does with it’s more intriguing shows.

  • The Woman In Black

It’s true that I really liked the first ep, but the second … not so much. Moyer, while appealing enough, definitely needs a voice coach as his accent is all over the place, and the cliche hissing and vamping (pun intended) that ended Ep. 2 was godawful. As is the Tara/Jason storyline — hopefully they’ll ditch that soon since the actors have horrible chemistry together. But even with those faults, of course I’ll stick around to see how things play out since I do adore Ball, and obviously HBO must know a lot more about the direction of the show than I do since they already ordered another season.

Oh … “bond”. Alright, then. Nevermind. Way to be on top of things, Butane.

“A woman develops?” So, this is a ‘coming of age’ story, now?

Whatever. Paquin’d better do a nude scene, that’s all I’m sayin’.
